التعريف
The meal taken at Maghrib to break the day's fast. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged hastening it — 'My Ummah will continue to be upon good as long as they hasten the ifṭār.' (Bukhārī 1957, Muslim 1098)
النطق: if-ṬĀR
التطبيق العملي
Break the fast on fresh dates — if not, dried dates; if not, water — as the Prophet ﷺ did. Make du‘ā' before breaking, for the du‘ā' of the fasting person at ifṭār is not rejected.
