After sexual relations or wet dreams; for women, after menstruation or post-natal bleeding ends; before Friday prayer (recommended).

Make niyyah, say Bismillāh, wash private parts, perform wuḍū', then pour water over the entire body — making sure water reaches the roots of the hair and every part of the skin.
