What you testified
When you said 'Lā ilāha illa Allāh, Muḥammadun rasūl Allāh', you affirmed two things: there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad ﷺ is His final messenger. This is the doorway to Islam — and a contract with conditions you'll learn over the next 30 days.
Your past has been wiped clean
The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Islam wipes out everything that came before it.' (Muslim) Whatever sins you committed before are erased. You begin life again.
What now?
Take it step by step. You don't need to learn everything in a week. The Companions themselves were taught gradually.
Today's Action
Say 'Alhamdulillāh' (All praise is due to Allah) ten times, reflecting on the gift Allah gave you in guiding you to Islam.
