التعريف
Like ṣaḥīḥ but with one or more narrators of slightly less precision. Still acceptable as evidence in fiqh and ‘aqīdah. When supporting chains exist, a ḥasan can rise to ṣaḥīḥ li-ghayrihi.
النطق: ḥa-SAN
الاشتقاق والجذر
From ح-س-ن (ḥ-s-n), meaning 'good, beautiful.'
ملاحظات علمية
Imām at-Tirmidhī popularised the explicit category of ḥasan — earlier scholars often included it under ṣaḥīḥ in the broad sense or distinguished it without naming.
